We know that people are busy. Making contact doesn’t need to take long!!

The motto is: Small Things Often.

According to John Gottman: “ Bids for connection are the biggest predictor of happiness”.

Be aware of your partner’s bids for connection and make it your default to Turn towards and take them up on these invitations for connection, whenever possible.

TIP: KEEP YOUR WINDOWS INTO YOUR INNER LIVES OPEN - e.g: Taking 5 minutes at the beginning of your day to connect over a coffee far outweighs starting work 5 minutes earlier.

Ask each other:

  1. What’s on your mind today?

  2. What are you looking forward to?

  3. What are you anxious about?

And then - during the day or at the end of the day, ask how it all went?
